The camera is behaving childishly; it refuses to tell us how many pictures we’ve taken. It’s

also keeping the pictures themselves in it’s belly, and threatens to wash them out if we open it

up. Sometimes you have to make a compromise in a hostage situation.

The camera tripod stood watch on over the flowers like a mechanical hen, the shutter chattering with a baby blue tit on a branch, the photo couldn’tshow you this. Thankfully writing is it’s own way of seeing, and without it you couldn’t see him standing, hear him say ‘I think it’s a nice way to do a walk.

The bread size is too big for the pigeons to do the dance, which took an edge of spectacle from the
photo. The choice was to wait for the event to begin, but it was the first stop on the walk and the next one seemed more important, primarily because it was unknown.
